As part of my work with Nordic Strong, I was asked to write a featured article for their company website. The request was to write a piece focused on the benefits of cross-country ski training in the off-season. To kickoff the assignment, I was provided with a project brief as well as brand guidelines highlighting Nordic Strong's brand voice. From there, I was given free reign to craft an article highlighting their product in regards to cross-country ski training.
Nordic Strong is a fitness concept aimed to build a strong fitness community centered around Nordic values. As part of an effort to drive traffic to their website, I was assigned this project to shine light on their product and showcase the multitude of health benefits in relation to training during the summer. As a result, I faced the challenge of highlighting Nordic Strong's products and fitness concepts in a highly sought after industry. Ultimately, I achieved this by listing and prioritizing each talking point, attributing the overall health benefits of cross-country ski training to Nordic Strong's products. The result was a piece that demonstrated the many benefits to cross-country ski training in the off-season and the achievable results attained through the use of Nordic Strong's products.
When this piece went live, Nordic Strong expressed excitement about my work and the way their story was told. This experience taught me the importance of considering the reader's perspective, as well as the targeted industry, when writing pieces. Now when I write featured articles, I put an extra emphasis on balancing the needs of the client with expectations and perspectives of the readers to ensure that the client's marketing goals are met as best possible.
