As part of my work with skibumreviews, I was asked to write a featured article for their company website. The request was to write a piece focused on the top five best US ski towns for couples, marketing each individual town in their own unique way. To kickoff the assignment, I was provided with a project brief as well as brand guidelines highlighting skibumreview's brand voice. From there, I was given free rein to craft an article highlighting each area and the attractions specifically marketed towards couples across the US.
Solution:
Skibumreviews is an online platform that provides ski reviews on all things skiing, including Alpine skis, ski boots, ski poles, winter gear and more. Featuring "Top Picks" and "Best of" editorials, readers have access to honest ski gear reviews of the leading brands in the ski industry. As part of an effort to drive traffic to their website, I was assigned this project to highlight specific ski towns and their most popular attractions with the hopes of drawing more attention and support desired tourism. As a result, I faced the challenge of narrowing down content based on industry related research to focus solely on a targeted audience. Ultimately, I achieved this by listing and prioritizing each talking point to deliver digestible, condensed information. The result was a piece that offered a highlighted list of ski towns and attractions specifically geared towards couples.
